Eleven people died in a cold storage collapse in Uttar Pradesh

Eleven labourers were killed when the roof of a cold storage collapsed at Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh's Sambhal district on Thursday.
Three of the eight labourers who were saved from death on Thursday night by the National Disaster Response Force passed away while receiving medical care.
There were already eight more deceased labourers who were hauled out on Friday. The weight of the potatoes caused a part of the AR Cold Storage to collapse, according to Shalabh Mathur, Sambhal's deputy inspector-general. At that time, there were more than 20 workers inside the structure. There might be additional workers trapped among the wreckage. The NDRF and SDRF are still working and attempting to clear the debris.
Locals said there were 30 labourers inside the building and 19, including eight alive, had been brought out till Friday evening.
"On Wednesday night, many trucks carrying potatoes arrived here. The owners of the cold storage wanted to keep more than their capacity because this year's potato production was higher than many years prior, a local resident named Maheshwar Kumar told reporters.
