In Uttar Pradesh, a sanitation worker cleaning a septic tank passes away after breathing toxic gas

According to authorities, a sanitation worker, 20, died on Wednesday in the Modinagar neighborhood after reportedly breathing hazardous gas while cleaning a septic tank.

According to the authorities, contractor Rohit engaged six people for the task but did not provide them any safety gear. They said that Rohit was the subject of a FIR for carelessness.

Sagar and Raman, two of the six laborers who were Jagatpuri community residents, reportedly breathed hazardous gas and lost consciousness while cleaning the tank. When they arrived at the hospital, Sagar passed away while Raman was still receiving care, according to the authorities.

Gyan Praksh Rai, the Modinagar Assistant Commissioner of Police, said, “The event happened in the afternoon. Contractor Rohit has been the target of a FIR.

Sagar’s family and neighbors demonstrated outside the hospital and asked that the contractor be held accountable. The protest was put off after receiving a guarantee from top commanders.
