Mayawati termed alleged beating with BJP MLA in Aligarh worrying

Lucknow (UP) Bahujan Samaj Party ( BSP ) chief Mayawati on Wednesday called the investigation of the alleged beating of a BJP MLA in Aligarh serious and worrisome and demanded strict action against the culprits. BSP supremo tweeted on Thursday, law and order is dying in Uttar Pradesh. The incident in Aligarh yesterday by the local BJP MLA and the police against each other and the incident of assault is very serious and very worrying.

The BSP demands that the matter should be properly investigated and strict action should be taken against the culprits. Mayawati tweeted, "It is clear from such incidents like Jungleraj happening continuously in Uttar Pradesh, what is the difference between the SP and BJP government, especially in the matter of crime control and law and order?" Government should pay proper attention to it. This is the advice of the BSP in the public interest. 

Significantly, the BJP MLA Rajkumar Sahayyad from Iglas seat of Aligarh in the police station on Wednesday alleged that he was beaten up by policemen. Taking cognizance of the incident, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath ordered to immediately suspend the concerned police station and remove the Additional Superintendent of Police (Rural). A large number of BJP workers gathered at the police station to protest against the incident as news of the alleged beating by the police at the police station of MLA Rajkumar Sahay.
