The non-government aided colleges of the state have got 208 new assistant professors in two subjects. Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Service Commission (UPHESC) on Saturday declared the final declared result of Assistant Professor recruitment in both the subjects. 142 posts of Assistant Professor have been selected in Geography and 66 posts in Psychology. The result is available on the website and portal of the commission.

Out of 142 posts of Assistant Professor Geography, 54 posts are reserved for Unreserved, 14 posts for Economically Weaker Section, 44 Posts for Other Backward Classes, 29 posts for Scheduled Castes, and one post for Scheduled Tribes. The interviews for the selection of these posts were conducted from May 9 to 28 and after the completion of the interview, the commission also declared the final selection result late at night. 558 candidates were called for the interview, out of which 520 candidates appeared.
Records to be made available by June 18
Of the 66 posts of Assistant Professor Psychology, 30 posts are reserved for unreserved, three posts for economically weaker sections, 21 posts for other backward classes, 10 posts for Scheduled Castes, and two posts for Scheduled Tribes. In the interview held for recruitment to these posts from May 24 to 28, 218 candidates were invited, out of which 209 candidates registered their presence.

According to Vandana Tripathi, Secretary of the Commission, the candidates who did not produce the desired records at the time of the interview, have to provide the records in the Commission's office within 21 days of the result declaration i.e. by June 18. The candidature will be automatically canceled if the desired records are not submitted by the stipulated date.
