New temper in the politics of Bihar, Prashant Kishor surrounded Nitish Kumar on the issues of roads

Jan Suraj Abhiyan convener Prashant Kishor on Thursday slammed Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's claims of revamping the state's roads. Prashant Kishor, who is visiting the state for a full-time debut in politics, shared a picture of a national highway passing through the Madhuri district on his Twitter handle, which reminded him of the jungle raj of the 1990s.

Prashant Kishor took a jibe at Nitish on the issue of roads
Prashant Kishor tweeted, that Nitish Ji recently asked the officials of the road construction department to inform the people about the condition of roads in the state. The jungle raj of the 1990s was a reference to the husband-wife duo Lalu Prasad and Rabri Devi, who ruled Bihar for 15 years until the RJD's defeat in 2005 from the Kumar-led NDA. Anarchy and poor roads were common then. The RJD faced heavy criticism on these two issues.

Prashant had helped the Lalu-Nitish alliance win the 2015 assembly elections and formally joined the JD(U). After serving as his number two after two years under Nitish Kumar's leadership, Prashant now feels that both the leaders have let the state down. After leaving his career as a political strategist, Kishor has now entered the political arena with the promise of transformative politics in his home state.
