On the Kanwar Yatra path, UP forbids the selling and purchase of beef in the open

The Uttar Pradesh government has decided to prohibit the sale and purchase of beef in the open anywhere along the path of the Kanwar Yatra.

“In order to respect the devotion of the Kanwar devotees, there should be no open meat sales or purchases anywhere along the Kanwar Yatra path.

On the yatra path, cleanliness and sanitization should be maintained, according to a press release from the Uttar Pradesh government. Along the trip, provisions would also be made for drinking water.

“Arrangements for drinking water should also be made along the way due to the intense heat. The crew must assess the meal’s quality wherever food camps are staged, according to the announcement.

On Tuesday, senior government-level officials and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reviewed the preparations being made by police commissioners, divisional commissioners, district magistrates, and police captains regarding strong law and order and facilities for the devotees in light of the upcoming festivals. Yogi Adityanath provided the necessary guidelines in the interest of the general public.
On July 4, the holy month of Shravan will begin, according to CM Yogi Adityanath. This year, Shravan lasts for two months rather than one because of Adhimas. During this time, people will celebrate the festivals of Rakshabandhan, Nagpanchami, and Shravani Shivratri. Traditionally, the month of Shravan will see the Kanwar Yatra. During this time, Monday worship also has a particular significance. Bakrid will be observed on June 29 prior to this. It is obvious that law and order are sensitive at this time. We must thus remain vigilant and aware at all times.

“Traffic was not affected by religious activities during the month of Ramadan and Eid this year,” CM Yogi said. The whole nation has praised this initiative. We will have to use the same technique this time around for Bakrid and Muharram. The local government should have a discussion about this with the concerned religious leaders and academics. On Bakrid, the location of the sacrifice should be indicated beforehand. At contested locations, sacrifices are not permitted. There should only be sacrifices made in the locations that have been recognised. In any case, watch out that no animal that is not allowed is sacrificed. Every district has to have a methodical action plan in place for disposing of garbage after sacrifice. If not, these wastes start to spread illness.

To ensure that every event is celebrated in peace and harmony, CM said, “All essential measures should be taken while keeping in mind the local necessities.

CCTVs should be put in place throughout the Kanwar Yatra route, and divers should be sent out based on previous experiences. To prevent traffic obstruction, the locations for Kanwar camps should be designated beforehand.

Additionally, CM instructed the administration to set up the required amenities for festivalgoers. “Respect religious customs and beliefs, but forbid actions that defy them. Give organisers permission to host events, but make sure everyone abides by the laws and regulations. In religious processions, firearms shouldn’t be on show. No event that offends the sensibilities of followers of other faiths should be permitted. Keep a look out for any tricksters who could attempt to unduly incite members of other groups.

In sensitive regions, more police should be stationed. The police must conduct nighttime foot patrols every day. Maintain PRV 112 in use. Chaos-inducing factors need to be dealt with severely. During festivals, the energy supply has to be maintained smoothly in all locations, urban or rural. There shouldn’t be any concerns about pointless budget cutbacks. It has to be checked often.

Deteriorated electric poles, hanging electric lines, etc. on the Kanwar Yatra path should be addressed well in advance to prevent complications for the pilgrims and accidents, the CM stressed.

Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister, ordered the emergency medical services to be on alert. “Since the rainy season has begun, there should be enough anti-venom and anti-rabies shots available in all the regions. On the Kanwar Yatra route, there should be several locations for health posts. Only safe cars should be allowed to go on the road, according to the Transport Department, he stated.

A little more than one crore devotees had Shrikashi Vishwanath darshan devotion during Shravan. Every Monday, the temple was attended by between 6 and 7 lakh worshippers.

“This year, the length of Shravan month is two months because of Adhimas. Therefore, it is feasible for the number of followers to rise even more. In the month of Shravan, there is a chance that pilgrims from all across the nation may arrive. Prepare a methodical action plan in conjunction with the local government and temple management in Varanasi, Ayodhya, and Sitapur. He instructed the authorities, “The administration should be such that no devotee is inconvenienced.

Senior officers assigned to the police station, circle, district, range, zone, and mandal levels should have discussions with local religious leaders and notable members of the community. Send out an uplifting message to the populace. Have the Peace Committee’s meeting. Take the media’s cooperation, he said, “so that peace and harmony rule the day.

An enthusiastic religious celebration is the Kanwar Yatra. It has traditionally included dancing, music, and songs. “Confirm that the DJ’s, songs’, etc., sound meets the required criteria. Quick response and open communication are helpful in resolving undesirable occurrences. Therefore, the District Magistrate/Police Captain should personally go to the scene upon learning of any unfavourable incidence. in charge of top officials in delicate instances. Apply the beat strategy. Illegal vehicle stands must be taken down right away. Create a plan of action for efficient traffic in all cities. In cities, the e-rickshaw route should be chosen. Additionally, charging stations must to be put up for them, he said.

In various regions of the nation recently, cases of unlawful conversion have come to light. “We are aware of the Ghaziabad incident involving the conversion of young people through online gaming and messaging applications. A deaf-mute youngster was once forced into an unlawful conversion at one location. As soon as the information was obtained, urgent action was taken, allowing for the exposure of a significant conspiracy. It is imperative to quickly put a stop to such anti-social and anti-national acts. A little negligence now might grow into a major malignancy tomorrow, he warned.

“It is proven that a sizable multinational network is engaging in unlawful conversions. The fact that the organisation is doing the unlawful conversion procedure in batches while simultaneously instructing previous converts is crucial. This organisation maintains a close check on job-seeking teenagers and children with disabilities.

Additionally, financial incentives are provided. It’s imperative to destroy the whole illicit conversion syndicate. In all the districts, any little bit of information connected to this should be treated carefully. In the state, strict legislation against unlawful conversion is in effect. Every instance of such behaviour should be immediately put into action, he said.

Additionally, CM Yogi said that all police stations in every district should have operational cyber help desks due to the evolving nature of crime and offenders. The ‘Safe City Project’ is proven to be quite effective in achieving the goal of women’s safety, respect, and independence. We must make all 17 municipal corporations, as well as the Gautam Budh Nagar district headquarters, secure cities within the next three months. All of the district headquarters’ urban areas will be transformed into safe cities in the next phase. With the Integrated Traffic Management System implemented as part of the Smart City initiative, the security system of the cities has become intelligent. According to the UP CM, all cities should be built to be “safe cities” while managing budgets via convergence and interdepartmental collaboration.
