From April 1, alcohol prices in THIS state will increase

According to reports, Uttar Pradesh's alcohol prices would increase as of April 1 as a result of the state cabinet's approval of the new excise policy for 2023–2024. However, despite the liquor lobby's desire to extend the hour to 11 pm, selling timings would not alter.

The new tax policy was approved in a state cabinet meeting presided over by Yogi Adityanath, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, in order to generate an estimated Rs 45,000 crore in revenue from the alcohol industry.
