Through this, American companies can appoint foreign employees in positions of technical or other expertise. The US State Department issued the revised travel guidelines, stating that this exemption has been granted under the national interest category. The State Department said that H-1B and L-1 visas can now be issued to employees who are seeking re-employment in the US with the same employer and the same visa classification.
