Recipe for Bombay Aloo: On a workday, everything has to be fast and simple. In the middle of our frantic schedule, spending hours in the kitchen seems like a far-off fantasy. There are several dishes to try, ranging from 5-minute mac & cheese to one-pot biryani. One such food that we associate with comfort is bombay aloo (or aloo Bombay). Bombay aloo, to put it simply, is a hot aloo sabzi that goes well with roti, paratha, and dal chawal.
Ingredients for Bombay Aloo: 7-8 Baby Potatoes
chopped onion, half
a tablespoon of ginger-garlic paste
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon red curry powder
Powdered turmeric, 1/2 tsp
Coriander Powder, 1 tbsp.
Salt as desired
1.To make young potatoes crisp, fry them in a pan.
2. Add the ginger and garlic to the hot oil in a pan. To this, add finely chopped onion and slit green chilies. Cook the onions until they are soft.
3. Next, add the jeera powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt to taste. Give it some time to cook.
4. Sprinkle in a little water before adding the fried potatoes.
5. Combine the spices and coat the potatoes.
