Mumbai. Police security has been beefed up outside the Taj Hotel in South Mumbai following the attack on the Karachi Stock Exchange . A senior official gave this information on Tuesday. The historic Taj Hotel in the Colaba area was also among the sites targeted by Pakistani terrorists during the 26/11 Mumbai terror attack.
The officer said that the Mumbai Police is on high alert following the attack on the Karachi Exchange on Monday and increased security outside the hotel and other sensitive establishments, cementing anti-terrorism measures. However, the police have not yet confirmed the reports that a person from Pakistan has called and threatened to bomb this luxurious hotel. "The police are on alert and sufficient number of police personnel have been deployed in the (Taj Hotel) area," the official said.
